New to Bird Life?
An introduction to birdwatching — 16 November
Visit Clarkesdale for a one-day course to introduce participants to birdwatching. The course will take participants from ‘beginner to birder’ by imparting skills to determine ‘what bird was that?’
Ian Ashton, Branch President of BirdLife Ballarat, has been watching birds for more than 40 years and is only too willing to impart his knowledge and experience on a range of topics of interest to fellow birdwatchers.
Clarkesdale Bird Sanctuary is a haven for birds and there is no better time of year to experience the delights of birdwatching on this BirdLife Australia property.
For further information or to book, phone David on (03) 5344 7472 or 0428 447 472, or email him.
While the Spring and Summer seasons are the best time to see birds, the Sanctuary has brilliant birding opportunities all year round. Open to visitors throughout the year you are encouraged to make contact before your first visit.
Campers are welcome, and there are excellent facilities that cater to a number of un-powered sites. Booking is essential for planned overnight stays and group visits. Contact the Sanctuary Manager below.
